Good to know

Camden move questions, answered

The things people actually ask us — about access, awkward pieces, and getting things out of the country. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

Do you know how to deal with Camden’s parking and market-day roads?

Yes — it’s half the job here. Much of Camden is a controlled parking zone and the main roads are red routes, so we check the restrictions and loading options for your exact address before the day, and plan where the van goes and where the crew carries from. On market days we work around the streets that seize up near the Lock rather than pretending they don’t.

My flat is up several flights with no lift. Is that a problem?

It’s normal for Camden and it’s no problem — we just plan for it. We measure the big pieces against the actual staircase, landings and doorways beforehand, decide what comes apart, and bring the right crew and kit so nothing ends up wedged on a half-landing.

Can you move a piano, or a studio full of gear?

Yes. Pianos, flight-cases, outboard racks, decks and heavy one-offs are handled by a proper crew with the right equipment, not improvised. Instruments and gear are cased or custom-wrapped and loaded so nothing fragile travels under anything heavy.

I’ve got a lot of vinyl and artwork. How do you pack that?

Records are boxed to travel on their edges, kept flat and dry, and loaded where nothing heavy lands on top. Framed pieces and canvases are corner-protected and stood rather than stacked. It’s the kind of cargo Camden is full of, and we pack it accordingly.

Do you do smaller jobs, or just full house moves?

Both. A single room, a few big items or a quick collection is a man-and-van job — a driver and a van sized honestly to the work. A whole house or a business relocation gets a full crew. We quote the job in front of us, not a one-size package.

Can you move a shop or market unit without closing me for long?

We work to your trading hours — early starts and out-of-hours moves so a relocation costs you as little counter time as possible. Stock, rails, counters and fixtures are crated and labelled so the new unit reopens in order.

Do you cover moves out of Camden to Europe?

Yes — road removals from Camden to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. It starts with a careful pack here and carries on by planned road route, with the customs paperwork explained in plain terms and storage available either end if your dates don’t line up.

Do you offer storage?

We do — clean, secure storage for anything from a few boxes to a whole home, with a move-and-store option folded into one booking. It’s handy for the gap between homes, between shop units, or while an international move is arranged.

How do I get a price?

Send us the shape of the move through the quote form — the address, the floor and access, what’s going and anything awkward or valuable. We’ll read it and come back by email with a clear, no-obligation written quote. For anything larger we’ll arrange a quick survey in person or by video first.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover, and we’re happy to confirm the details in writing with your quote. If a move needs anything specific noted for a building or a landlord, just ask.
