Terms of Service
These terms cover quotes and moving services provided by Camden Removals. They’re written to be clear rather than clever. Your booking confirmation, together with these terms, forms the agreement between us.
Quotes
A quote is based on the information you give us about your move — addresses, access, what’s being moved and any special items. If the reality on the day differs materially from what was described, the quote may need to be adjusted. A written quote remains valid for thirty days from its date unless we state otherwise.
Bookings & deposits
Your move is confirmed once you accept the quote and we acknowledge the booking. Where a deposit is required to hold a date, it is deducted from the final balance. A deposit is refundable if you cancel with at least seven days’ notice before the booked date.
Payment
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the balance is due on or before completion of the move. We’ll set out accepted payment methods in your booking confirmation.
Your responsibilities
- Make sure we can access both properties and any lift or loading bay when needed
- Tell us about anything unusually heavy, fragile, valuable or hazardous in advance
- Arrange any parking permits or suspensions where the address requires them
- Check nothing is left behind, and that everything is delivered, before we leave
Items we can’t carry
For safety and legal reasons we can’t transport certain goods, including hazardous or flammable materials, illegal items, and perishable or living things. If you’re unsure about an item, ask us before the day.
Liability
We handle your belongings with care and carry goods-in-transit and public liability insurance; we’ll confirm the cover with your quote. If something is lost or damaged in our care, tell us as soon as you can and in any event report it within seven days of delivery so we can put it right. Our liability is subject to the terms and limits of our insurance and these terms.
Cancellations & changes
If you need to cancel or move your date, let us know as early as you can and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. Cancellations made close to the booked date may incur a charge to cover work already committed; we’ll always explain any charge before applying it.
Delays outside our control
Occasionally events beyond our control — weather, traffic incidents, border or customs delays on international moves — affect timing. We’ll keep you informed and work to minimise any disruption, but we can’t accept liability for delays we couldn’t reasonably prevent.
Complaints
If anything isn’t right, contact us at hello@removalscamben.co.uk and we’ll work with you to resolve it fairly and promptly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
